At 8:30 in the morning,the body of a man was found.Someone murdered(谋杀） him.A small knife was( lying ) near the body.Maybe the murderer( used )that knife.The police doctor said,“The man( died )about eight hours ago.”So the murder had possibly happened( at )midnight and one o'clock.
The police questioned three men.They didn't tell the three men( about )the murder.The first man said he had been at home the whole evening and was( watching )television,(then )he went to bed early.
The( second )man told the police that he had spent the evening(with )some of his friends.They bad been to the cinema together.He got home at about 11 o'clock.
The third man said he didn't know anything about the murder.He also he didn't( have )a knife.Of course the police easily found out who the murderer was.
