关系副词when,where,why 等在定语从句中不能作主语或宾语,只能作状语.如：

1.This is the school where we once studied.(where 作地点状语,表示studied 的地点)

2.I still clearly remember the time when we worked together.(when 作地点状语,表示worked 的

地点)

3.That's the reason why he lied to me.(why 作原因状语,表示 he lied to me 的原因)

在定语从句中作主语、宾语的必须是关系代词,而不是关系副词.如：

1.The woman who called me just now is my mother.(who 在从句中作主语,不能省略)

2.The woman (whom) I called just now is my mother.(whom 在从句中作宾语,可以省略)
