English, no doubt the most widely spoken language internationally today, is the mother tongue of some 400 million people, while the majority of nations adopt the educaiton of English and use it as the first foreign language. Its significance, therefore, is beyond questioning in every aspect of people's life. In the contemporary sense, with China's entry into Trade Organization as an official memberstates due its reform and opening-up policy, yet more and more people are striving to learn English nowadays, where the 2008 Beijing Olympics Games also has its stake.
