visit 是及物动词,去过哪里后面直接跟地方就行了.

把这个句子分成两句话看看就知道了：

This is a village.

i visited the village last year.

如果用where的话,指的是在某个地方,即"in the place"

e.g.This is the village where I was born.

分成两个句子：

This is the village.

I was born in the village.
