《Design and Test on Power Source Arresters》
Abstract
With the rapid development of electronic technology,the sensitivity of integrated circuits influenced by voltage and current pulse is getting higher and higher,apart from the influence of the direct stroke,the induction stroke caused by the lightning current flowing through the indoor metals becomes the new major factor which damages the electronic equipments and disrupts our works.However,the protection of a arrester is quite effective to the induction stroke,so that the arresters have been widely used in modern lightning protection.
The arrestor can be divided into two types of power source arrester and signal arrester.This paper is researching on the design and test for a power source arrester.Based on the voltage-sensitive characteristic of zinc oxide resistor,we parallel the power source arresters with the protection phrase line,and connect it to the PE lines.When a lightning current or over-voltage reaches the threshold value of the zinc oxide resistor,the resistance of the zinc oxide quickly breakover and bleed the lightning current to the earth,thus protecting the circuit.in order to know whether the SPD is in work any time,this paper also provides a design of the interface detecting the status of the temperature and the on-off state.
