考研复试问题：why do you choose linguistics?(英语语言学)

I am deeply impressed by the mystery of linguistics,Linguistics is generally defined as the scientific study of language.It studies not any particular language,but languages in general.I am attracted by the structure of the linguistics,and want to do something for exploring.As the proverb says ‘process is the activity of today and the assurance of tomorrow.’ If I got a chance to study here,I would like to continue to accept professional training,in order to get ready for working in the future.I hope I can achieve my goal soon.
