1.he is in/off/away/upstairs/here 中副词做表语不好理解,为啥它们在这里不是形容词?
我们在加拿大学英语不从语法开始,更甭说表语了.（学校一般不教“表语”.）
个人看法是懂表语未必等于英语很好（当然这是来自对表语不很清楚的加拿大人 – 我 – 的看法,哈哈.）

和
It is exactly that.
I’m exactly 6 ft.tall
同理.
3.是不是只有个别的副词可作表语,比如The car is slowly就不正确?
表语不只是一个单词,也可以是词组,
上面句子语法不对,
改成 The car is slowly moving 后
词组 slowly moving 是表语
The car is slow
slow 是 表语（predicative adjective） .
