Dear Mr Smith,
I am pleased to know that you are currently visiting China and doing voluntary English teaching work at western Sichuan with your daughter who just graduated from university. Hardly could I believe it when I heard the news. You should have let me know before you come. As you know it have been seven years since I graduate from your school and came back to China. Time does fly indeed. I have missed you and other friends in your school very much. Now since you are in China, it is a fantastic cance for us to meet again. Could you spare one or two days to come to our school, Xinhua High School, in which I am working as the headteacher. When you come I would like to ask you and your daughter to give us a talk and our students and staffs may have some questions about American schools to ask you, so we can have a discussion afterward. If time is permitted I would like to guide you for a tour in our city. I would also like to invite you and your daughter to have dinner with my family in my house. Can we preliminarily set it on 8 or 9 of October?
I am looking forward to your reply and meeting you soon.
with best regards!
Wencai Liu
