Dear Harry,
How are you? I'm really glad that you are interested in Chinese traditional festivals. I'd like to talk
about two main festivals. One is Spring Festival, the other is Mid-autumn Festival. They are both the
time for family members to get together.
Spring Festival is the most important one for us of all the festivals. It comes on lunar January 1st.
People get together to have a big dinner, give best wishes to each other and play firecrackers. Children
receive lucky money from parents. How happy we are!
Mid-autumn Festival is on lunar August 15th. All family members get together to eat mooncakes
and enjoy the beautiful moonlight at night.
As for me, Mother's Day is my favorite. It's the best time for me to show my thanks to my mother.
On that day, I send her beautiful gifts made by myself and help her with housework.
