对多媒体辅助英语教学的几点看法
计算机辅助教学（CAI）是一种新型现代化教学方式,也是未来世界教育技术的新趋向,CAI的兴起是整个教育界进行信息革命最有代表性的产物.计算机辅助教学具有形象性、多样性、新颖性、直观性、丰富性、趣味性等特点.它能激发学生的学习兴趣,使他们能真正成为学习的主体,变被动学习为主动学习.因此,在现代教学中,教师应充分掌握一些多媒体的应用技巧,使英语教学变得活泼起来,让英语教学不再乏味、枯燥,让学生由怕学变为爱学.那么,怎样把多媒体教学与英语教学在机地结合起来呢?下面,我就这方面的问题谈几点体会.
一、 使用多媒体教学,我们的英语教学形式可以多样化.
过去的英语教学学生所见的只是教师、黑板和几个简单的教具,实施“一块黑板,一只粉笔、一张嘴巴众人听”的教师灌输为主的传统教学方法.教师的教学形式只是一味地读、听录音、听写、背诵、检查等一系列环节,使学习人与人进行交流的工具—语言,成了枯燥的苦学.而现在,我们可以运用多媒体这个现代化的教学手段,让教学形式多样化,摆脱千篇一律.例如,进行字母教学,以往的方式只是一节课教师要反复地领着学生读、背,所学的字母只是那么七八个字母,而效果还不很理想,26个英文字母往往得学一个星期左右,而现在完全可以借助多媒体让26个英文字母教学在一节课内,轻松地、愉快地完成.我在进行字母教学时采用了以下的方法：我们都知道,如果一节课能在欢快的歌声中完成任务的话,那么肯定是很成功的.所以,我们可以用《字母歌》进行教学,我在课前准备一个《字母歌》的课件.上课时,我说：“同学们,这节课我们来学一首歌”,学生们一听,英语课上学歌,马上来了兴趣,我接着说：“下面,大家一起先欣赏一下”.接着,我播放多媒体课件《字母歌》,在课件中,穿插一些动画片,让学生边欣赏,边听歌曲,同时在两段视频设计上,有所不同.第一段是动画,第二段则是一些字母的交替出现,同时在课件上设计了暂停按钮.这样,让学生在视觉上、听觉上共同来欣赏.这样,我就利用这个课件来进行教学了.别看教单个字母的发音很困难,学生很不容易记住,但要是一唱歌,学生学得可快了.一节课下来,学生们不但学会了26个字母的读法,而且学会了《字母歌》,一举两得.可以说,这节在教师轻松,学生轻松的“音乐课”中完成了字母的教学.当然,这只是字母教学的一个重要环节,然而,学生会读了,再学其它方面,就容易多了.
在其它方面的教学中,教师完全可以借助多媒体这个现代化的教学手段,改变自己以往的教学方法,让教学变得轻松,让学生学习变得愉快,达到极佳的效果.
经过这节课的实践,我体会到,一是把教师置于学生的感知角度,体会他们的学习情绪和学习心理,以此来找准教学的切入点和突破点,从而落实教学目标的重点；二是把学生置于课件主人的地位,使学生在不断地语言训练中掌握知识,进而运用.
二、 多媒体教学,让学生的学习方式多样化.
要问学英语最难的是什么?无疑是背单词了,这是学习英语的第一大难关.利用多媒体,可以使过这一难关变得轻松起来.我们知道,背诵要眼、口、耳、手等共同训练,才会达到良好的背诵效果.只背不写、只背不说、只背不用心去看都是达不到良好的效果的,而学生多范这样的毛病.多媒体给我们解决了这个问题,把单词加上声音、图像、动画等让学生的感官充分调动起来,记忆的效果会更好.例如：在记忆实物单词时,就可以利用一些实物图像,让学生从课件中既听到了单词的读法,又看到了实物,记忆起来,更快,而且兴趣更高.
多媒体能引导学生把注意力放到知识间的联系上,而不是片断、孤立的个别点上,使用多媒体系统学习,学生面临着“往哪走”“学什么”的选择,以检索所需的信息.在决策过程中,学生运用了高层次的思维技巧,训练了自己的认知策略,增加了“如何学习”的技能,同时还可以不断地进行自我评估,调整策略的运用,以防偏离学习目标.
三、 多媒体让教学节奏加快,让学习效率得到了提高.
传统的英语教学理论,总是趋于把教学过程看成是一个教师――学生的线性单向的简单过程,教师是整个教学过程的主体,是惟一的信息源,而学生则是客体,是被动的信息接受者,教师授课的基本形式是：讲解、练习、提问、得到反馈,根据评价结果确定是重复讲解、重复练习还是结束教学.有了多媒体以后,学生在同计算机进行人机交流时,可以提出具有启发性的问题,唤起学生思考愿望,不断思考、探讨、快速呈现、快速练习、快速反馈等,这样,教学节奏加快,效率提高.

当然,多媒体与传统英语教学手段之间的关系,应该是相辅相成、拾遗补缺、协调发展的关系.认为多媒体技术可以完全取代传统教学手段,片面追求感官效果,以致于一些本来可以说几句话说清楚的问题,也要动用大量复杂的多媒体形式来表现,显然是不切实际的.而一个好的课件,应该是经过细心设计,富有艺术性的作品,应该充分体现教师的教学结构、教学思想,而不是简单的文字加图片,把全部的操练材料、问题和答案都输入到计算机,就是多媒体教学了,这样的话,不但起不到应有效果,反而可能还会画蛇添足,多此一举了.
实践证明,多媒体在英语教学中有着非常重要的作用,显示了广阔的发展前景,我们应不断努力,使多媒体辅助教学更好地为提高英语教学质量服务.
