My Childhood
There is only one word which can describe my childhood. The word is“carefree①”that so many today's kids② do not understand, although they have delicious food, beautiful clothes and pretty toys.
My parents never forced me to do anything.I recited a lot of poems and fine articles, but not for performing before their friends and our relatives, just because I enjoyed rhythms③ and words. So I never considered them a burden④.Later,when I was in the primary school, the homework was very few and easy to do,and I was never asked to be the top students.
Nor did my parents stop me from doing anything. After I finished my homework,I could stay outside for a whole afternoon to do whatever I liked.I used to go swimming in the river in summer, skating on the ice in winter.Sometimes I played basketball or football with my little friends.I could read any book, and my parents never examine it before my reading.
Sometimes I think my childhood was boring⑤and not unforgettable, but I was really carefree and happy then. What is more important than to give a child a happy childhood?
