Solving world hunger by(改为with) GM food
As a solution to world hunger, genetically modified food do have some advantages as is shown above. However, it also can(改为can also) engender some adverse effects, thus probably raising some controversial problems.
To begin with, the genetically(此为副词不可修饰名词，应该加上modified) food could cause a great deal of potential health concerns. Firstly, the GM food, which could be toxic or get (改为give, give rise to固定词组导致)rise to allergens（这是过敏原的意思，如果你想用“过敏”的话是allergies）, are(改为is, 因为主语是food) not safe enough. Even scientists could not prove whether they are totally safe. As long as (应改为if, as long as 是只要的意思)people are allergic with（改为to, 固定搭配be allergic to sth） GM food, or be poisoned by them (改为it因为指代food), not only world hunger could not be decreased well(整个句子要改一改，not only 置于句首要倒装，not only could not world hunger be reduced), but also more other problems and troubles would emerge. And new toxins or allergens may be moved into（转移到，用move into就可以了，不需要被动） initial previous safe foods（想表达的应该是“以前安全的食物”吧，应改为previously safe food） as a result of engineering food crops. In this situation, the nutritional value of the foods(统称食物时food 是不可数应该去掉‘s’) may be decreased(decrease一般主动表减少，改为may decrease). Secondly, once nutrient composition of GM foods change, the structure of people `s nutrition will be likely to lose balance . Thirdly, as(去掉as) British scientific researchers has proved ‘GM DNA could find a way into human gut bacteria’(The guardian,2002), and humans who eat the genetically(加上modified) foods(用food) could make people be(去掉be) resistant to antibiotic medicines(Living Earth,1997),which also could lead to many health concerns.
Besides,There (改为besides, there)is a new analysis of this industry nearly 20-year record in the United States(句子有问题，不知想表达何意？). As is shown from the pie chart, which is about the Contribution of Genetic Engineering to U.S. Corn Yield Increase, genetic engineering only accounts for 14 percent of the increase , their analysis shows that genetic engineering did not increase the yields of crops significant（句子改为As the pie chart about the Contribution of Genetic Engineering to U.S. Corn Yield Increase shows, genetic engineering only accounts for 14 percent of the increase ,that is, genetic engineering did not increase the yields of crops significantly）. In the other world (换句话说是in other words), reducing world hunger could not totally count on genetical engineering ,(加上or)genetically modified crops.
