the other,another,other,others用法
the other指两者中的“另一个”,通常与 one搭配使用,构成one．．．the other（一个……另一个）.例如：
Miss Gao has a book in one hand,and a pen in the other．
高老师一只手拿着一本书,另一只手拿着一枝钢笔.
The little girl slowly closed one eye and then the other．
小女孩慢慢地闭上了一只眼睛,然后又闭上了另一只.
another可以被看作是an与other两个词的融合,作“另一个”“不同的”解,其后只能跟单数名词,指不确定数目中的“另一个”.如：
I dont like this one,show me another．我不喜欢这个,给我看看另一个.
They stood up one after another．他们相继站起来.
但是,当another作“再”“另外的”解时,可修饰复数名词,这时它后面大都跟有few或基数词.例如：
There's room for another few people in the back of the bus．
在这辆公共汽车的后部还能容纳一些人.
The farm already has ten cows,but they are buying another five（cows）．
这家农场已有10头奶牛,但计划要再买5头.
other一词在初中阶段我们主要学了两种词性,一种是形容词,另一种是代词.作形容词时,表“别的,其它的”.例如：

other作代词用时,表示“另一个人（物）；其余的人（物）；其他人（物）”,即the other,the others,others.the other的用法前面已经讲过了.现在,让我们来看看the others与others的区别.
others前加不加定冠词是根据表达的需要.the others是“其余的人（物）”,表示一个范围内的其他全部.例如：
We five did cleaning yesterday．Lucy and I swept the floors,the others cleaned the windows．
我们五个昨天搞了大扫除,露茜和我擦地板,其余的人擦窗子.
others是other的复数,指不定的“其他的人或物（复数）”.例如：
Show me some others,please．请给我看一些其他的.
Some people enjoy exercise,others don't．有些人喜欢运动,有些人则不喜欢.
the others,others都可与some连用,构成some．．．theothers．．．（一些……另一些……）,some．．．others．．．（有些……有些……）,这种情况下,others前是否加定冠词要视句意而定.例如：
1）这本词典比其余的好.
This dictionary is better than the others．
2）有的喜欢这个,有的喜欢那个.
Some like this,others like that．
