The blank process, which makes the needed parts by separating the (metal) plate with a mould on a press machine, has a wide range of application in the machinery industry. The blank processed parts characterized with high efficiency, high accuracy, stable quality and high utilization factors, are found in all categories of machinery products, particularly in production of large quantities of parts. Along with the social & economic development, the (market) demand for machinery products of increasingly high quality are continuously increasing. The mould design is becoming more and more important as the level of mould design reflects the level of a country’s machine building industry. The mould designed in this article is for production of mounting rack bedplate with a rectangular size of 200mm x 100mm x 3mm in 1Cr13 (material). The combined punching & blanking process characterized with simple operation and high production efficiency is proposed to get the needed parts at one punch.
