My creative Chinese painting titled "Cold Frangrance" depicts a university girl in an indoor scene consisted of bamboo funitures and ornaments which are typical in local Yiyang. The work highlights the youthfulness of the girl in spring and her psychological activity. The main method employed is thetraditional fine brushwork of figures, and silk, ink, brush, natural mineral colour are used as materials. The work incorporates the modern ideas of constructivism and sculpting with space leaving and cold tone to achieve its artistical effect. The work grounds on the traditional and blends with the contemporary style.
