On August 25,Beijing Youth Daily visited the Panda House in Beijing Zoo and saw the sign “Do Not Disturb” (hung) outside the entrance.Niuniu and given birth inside,protecting her cud.Niuniu was curled up on the ground,so it was diffcult to get a (view) of her baby.The keeper explained that Niuniu put baby on her chest in order to keep it (warm) since the baby did not have any fur yet.Ten minutes later,the baby gave oout a cry and Niuniu opened her paws to have a look.Beijing Youth Daily(immediately) nipped in with a camera and took a snap of the cud.It was like a pink mouse with its eyes closed,and was as big as a man’s fist.The keeper said Niuniu seemed like a good mother,having kept the same position to hold her baby (for)two days.The Panda House has been turned into a temporary office and dormitory for the keeper.A monitor on the ceiling keep an eye on Niuniu and her baby 24-hours a day and the keepers and taking notes of the situation in (demand).
