Low carbon means low energy and no waste. What can we students do to help with the project?
Firstly, we should save energy. For example, we must turn off lights before we leave to save electricity. We must turn off the tap in time to save water. A no-car day is needed every week in our school. Cars not only cause serious air pollution but also waste energy. On no-car day, every student must walk to school. Use our legs and enjoy the fun.
Secondly, don’t waste things, we should recycle and reuse things. Reuse paper and our textbook, Before we throw the waste, we must sort it. When we go shopping, it is wise to use our own bags which can be reused again and again. In our everyday life, we also have much more which we can save.
Thirdly, we must find ways to stop or reduce pollution. We can write to newspapers to stop factories from pouring waste water into the river and waste gas into the air. The factories must make their waste water clean before it is poured into the river. What’s more, it is good to pick up the litter whenever we see it.
Finally, we must plant more trees. Trees can not only clean our air but also make our world more beautiful. They are good for our environment. Good environment can make us live happily and healthily. At the same time, we must stop the people cutting down trees.
In a word, it’s our duty to improve our environment. To improve the environment means to live a low carbon life.. As students, we really have a lot to do. Lower carbon, happier life. Let’s take actions now.
