不能 found是find的过去式 , 是动词. 句子已经有了动词,不需要be动词 was了
这里还有个语法知识： find, see, hear等表结果的词 都可以用 doing 或者do 来连接 连接doing表示的意识是看见或听见的时候正在做什么 ；连接do的时候表示看见的是一整个过程
比如这句话 find the flag falling 表示看到时旗帜刚好掉下来.
He found the flag falling slowly onto he ground.
