DIFFERENT FORMS OF DISCRIMINATION AGAINST IMMIGRANTS IN DIFFERENT TIMES
Immigrants to the USA have been subjected to different forms of discrimination in different times by the US society throughout its history.
During the 1800s and early 20th Century,Jews and Italian immigrants were targets of prejudice, racism and violence, only second to the black Americans.
Ethnic minorities often fall victims to anti-immigrant bias which include, but not limited to,resentment, disdain, anger or general antagonism.
Immigrants from Latin America suffer increasingly of the bias-motivated crimes as they are blamed as the sources of social and economic problems.
Asian Pacific Americans also has a long history of suffering; one example is the 1882 Chinese Exclusion Act which was not repealed until 1943.
The September 11th terrorist attacks on the USA add fuel to the general hatred against people of Arab descent as they are perceived as sharing the same national background of the hijackers.
All in all,the mainstream of the USA society which is of Anglo-Saxon origin tends to think all the ethnic minorities are inferior both in human race and development, which in turn explains all the different forms of discriminations against ethnic minorities in different times, what remains unchanged,at least for the foreseeable future,is the undeniable fact that USA that was,is and will be lead by the elite human race---The Anglo-Saxons.
