你这里要把keep 和 be 放在一起作比较的话,那只能是比较它们都当系动词的用法,be 作为系动词它的表语 的词性比较广泛.
eg.He is a student .(名词作表语）
He is angry .(形容词作表语）
They are out .（副词 作表语）
We are in Grade Two (介词短语作表语）
The movie is touching.( 现在分词作表语）
They are excited at the news.(过去分词作表语）
His dream is to be a scientist ,( 动词不定式作表语）
One plus two is three .(数词作表语）
而keep 作半系动词时后面只跟 形容词作表语.
eg.Keep quiet.
但keep 后的宾语补足语 可以用不同的词性,但动词不定式不能作keep 的宾补.
eg.Keep the room tidy （ 形容词作宾补）
Don't keep him out (副词作宾补）
keep it a secret .( 名词作宾补）
Keep the pot in the shade .(介词短语作宾补）
Don't keep me waiting for long ( 分词作宾补）
Keep us informed ( 过去分词作宾补）
