Recently, advertisements are the most important resourses of our information in modern times. Advertisments become an initial part of our daily life. It‘s difficult to make advertisements, but it’s more difficult to translate them.If the translation are opposite to the original meaning of the creator, the whole advertisement will be tarnished. The translarion of the advertisements not only relate a lot to the product reputation, sales volumn and the ecnomic prifits but also reflects in some way the literacy of the country and the nation.
This article looks up many tool books. With thorough materials, it first states the characters of our natinal advertisements English and the important points we should pay attention to in translating. Then analyse some common problems in ad translating,such as misnomers and misleading by direct translating . Finally, the article gives its own opinions about these problems.
