the work 后面的 finished 是过去分词表示状态的用法 而不是被动语态 (工作处于已经完成的状态且是被动的) with 表示的是伴随情况
we 是主语 went 是谓语动词 如果在加上 were 的话将出现两个谓语,这是不允许的
