catch 是普通用语,有“设法抓住、捉住”的意思； grab 表示以满把满握
的动作抓住某物,其所表动作很粗野或很快； grasp 表示牢牢地“抓住”；
seize 指“突然用力抓住不使逃脱”；snatch 表示迅速地拉址动作、出其不意
地“抓取”.如：
1.I caught him by the ear.
我揪住他的耳朵.
2.He grabbed her arm and pulled her out of the fire.
他抓住她的胳膊把她从大火中拉了出来.
3.He grasped his gun and rushed out.
他抓住枪就冲了出去.
4.He seized the gun from the enemy soldier.
他从敌军士兵的手中夺过了枪.
