有相当的区别
第一个a great capacity是说一个人的能力强
比如 He has a great capacity when it comes to memorizing vocabulary.他背单词的能力特别强
第二个 have a high tolerance是说对什么什么的抵抗力强
比如 She has a high tolerance for alcohol.她酒量很大
但是偶尔可以做近义词用,因为capacity也有容积的意思,所以有有点儿像tolerance 忍耐力
比如 He has a high capacity for taking insults.He has a high tolerance for taking insults.
都是说他可以忍辱负重的意思
