Charles Robert Darwin was born in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England on 12 February 1809. He died at Down House in Kent, England on 19 April 1882. That's the place he spent most of his adult life. The cause was coronary thrombosis.
He was an English naturalist, and developed the theory of evolution (Alfred Russel Wallace did independently), which is the base of modern biology.
