In this article, we will introduce Information Technology (IT) into Asset Management System (AMS), set up Asset Information Management System (AIMS) based on the structure of ITIL. By the means of informatization, the customer can real-monitor the entire process of asset life cycle - from purchase to scrapping, as well as search for the real status of any asset within the database. The Asset Manager can work out a comprehensive analysis on the assets with the various information in the database, so as to improve asset use ratio, save resource, eventually leading to the effectiveness aximization of all the assets.
