College Students' Social Responsibilities
It is no doubt that in our modern society, as an educated group, college students should consider the sense of social responsibilities as the most important attribute for their self-reliance. However, despite its importance, there are many college students who are lack of the sense of social responsibilities. For instance, few of them are willing to devote themselves to volunteer community work, such as helping the old in nursing home, or caring the disabled about what they need.
The reason of the responsibility lacking is caused by the value difference of the college students. Rearch shows that college students are wealthier now than in previous years. Many of the students nowadays don't have to worry about their own lifes, thus it is difficult for them to care about others. They are possessing the value that they should just take care of themselves instead of shouldering any other responsibilities.
What we could do to change the situation is that we should reshape the value of the students. First of all, by setting good example, we can encourage college students to take more social responsibilities. In the meantime, we should provide more opportunities and motivations for them, such as initiate more social activities. By participating in more social activities, could college students shoulder more social responsibilities.
