其实你可以把它拆成两个句子:
The bird is setting in the tree.
The bird is so beautiful.
但是如果换成settied的话,那么无论从句式上还是从时态上都说不过去.
还可以这么理The bird (which is) setting in the tree is so beautiful.只不过在这里省略掉了(which is)而已.
ps:定语从句是把两个 有关联 的句子连在一起,使它更简明.
