the other 的用法是两者中的另一个,但是他后面也可以跟复数名词,这时表示的是两部分中的另一部分,相当于the others 表示剩下的,但是会有范围限制,后面应该还有in her class.
例如：I have three uncles,one is a doctor,the other two are teachers.
范围是three,后面的two 省略了uncles 其实也应该是按复数名词对待的.
