我是这样觉得,当成固定词组来背,并没有说用不用复数的问题
像in the eyes of the law 根据法律
give one's eyes for 为了...愿付出极大的代价
而且词组in the eye(s) of 在...心目中,在...看来,是加不加s都可以的,个人觉得只能背了
为什么是look sb in the eye而不是eyes?
