I think the paper can't be David's because he didn't take the exam for he was ill,although he is good at English.It can't be Jim's---very clever as he is,he is very careless and always makes mistakes in grammar.Neither can the paper belong to Tom,since he is a little weak in English though he is the top student in the class.Linda always studies hard and has fun learning English all the time.Thus,in my view of point,it must be Linda's.
