travel-----To go from one place to another, as on a trip; journey.
tour-------A trip with visits to various places of interest for business, pleasure, or instruction.
travel强调的是从一地到另一地,tour强调的是观光和游玩.因此traveller和tourist的区别也就在于traveller是旅行者,正在旅行的人；而tourist偏向于在旅游的人,游客.比如你乘车回家时你就是traveller,而不是tourist；但是你去欧洲旅游你就可以叫tourist,叫traveller不能表明你出行的目的,也不如tourist合适.
