在表示抽象感念时,比如说喜欢什么达到某种程度时 a lot 近似 very much, 但 very much的程度要强烈些.
a lot 还可表示数量的多少和频率的高低, very much没有这方面的意思.
It snows a lot in winter here,是说这里冬季的学很多,所以不能用 very much.
