先回答第二个."sb be said to do sth"这个固定搭配句型指的是“据说某人干了什么事情”.还有一个类似的是"It is said that..."后面跟从句,也是“据说...”的意思.

至于第一个,查查朗文或牛津字典就知道了.我这里简单理一下它的动词用法.

1、sth remain或sb remain in/at + 地点.指的是“继续待在某位置” .EXP.Her husband remained at the flat.

2、sth/sb remain + adj./doing sth.指的是“某人或某物保持某种状态”EXP.He had remained alert the whole time./He remained standing still.

3、sth remain.和exit的用法一样,加了ing以后可以把它看作形容词（注意很多题都会考你究竟是用remained还是remaining）.EXP.A problem remains./It's a remaining problem.

4、sth remain to be done.指的是“尚未被...”.EXP.It remains to be seen that we will win the game.

至于“He remain to clean the room.”,貌似没有这种用法哦.
