Operational transconductance amplifier,called OTA in short,has wide applications in automatic gain control,continous-time filter,and analog signal process system.Owing to its features such as high operation frequency,simple circuit structure,adjustable parameters,easy to integrate it has become one of the important schemes for implementing fully integrated continous-time filter.A numerical controlled high-pass filter base on OTA-C is studied and designed.The basic knowledge and typical applications of operational amplifier and filter are introduced first.Then the structure,operation principle,and characteristics of the basic type and improved type of operational transconductance amplifier are studied.Particularly first-order
and second-order OTA-C high-pass filters are designed,and simulated and tested.Finally an OTA-C numerically controlled filter based on improved-type of OTA is designed,and simulated and tested under the software environment of Multisim 10.The testing results show that the OTA-C numerically controlled filter based on improved-type of OTA has such advantages as good controllability,easy to adjust,etc.
